Python Job: Network Security Engineer - Trainee

We are responsible for developing and maintaining Wind Park IT/OT network infrastructure design and support applications for SCADA systems in Wind Power Plants across the globe. We are responsible for end-to-end delivery of communication infrastructure solutions in collaboration with Global IT and Service organization and also responsible for governance on processes and procedures around the responsibility area. The individual task in the department varies from hardware design based on industrial-grade equipment to designing and enabling advanced security solutions with innovative networking technologies.

As a trainee, you will not only get the huge advantage of being trained in Vestas' infrastructure technologies but also a chance to contribute effort in delivering solutions and products in projects and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• You will become one of the driving forces in developing and maintaining our Wind Park Network Architecture that accommodates network connectivity and engagement in our customer’s Wind Power Plants across the globe
• You will be working closely with our regional experts and local security specialists in a truly global organization
• Design and implement network automation (DevOps) aligned with the industry standards, frameworks, and security with overall business and technology strategy
• Design and implement secure communication infrastructure aligned with the industry standards, frameworks, and security with overall business and technology strategy
• Implement early-stage feasibility studies of new projects working together with other peers in labs and proof of concept for new technology solutions

Qualifications

• University degree at bachelor level, either recently completed or soon to be completed, in IT, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Informatics, or similar
• Cisco CCNA certified or trained (or the same level of knowledge)
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Network Automation technologies, either from the previous job or part of education
• Great English communication skills, both written and oral

• Network Automation technologies: Ansible, Python, Azure DevOps, Rest APIs, Docker Containers
• Good programming/scripting skills, especially in Python and Ansible(R) playbook (preferred)
• Good knowledge of Cisco DNA Center, NSO, and their Rest APIs (preferred)
• Good knowledge about SD-WAN and its REST APIs (preferred)
• Cisco switches and routers (preferred industrial grade) knowledge/experience
• Facilitate Log & Net flow analysis, network automation, and patch management (life cycle management) for network equipment
• Theoretical knowledge about OSPF, BGP, and related routing protocols.
• Good knowledge about Copper/Fiber Optics technologies supporting LAN, WAN, and Wireless
